Sport Facilities

With critical acclaim as the freshwater sailing capital of the world, and state-of-the-art sport facilities including nine multipurpose sport facilities, and over 100 different sport venues - from soccer fields to hockey rinks -Kingston has every sport season covered. Most facilities are located within a short walk or drive of many accommodation and dining establishments.

K-Rock Centre

The K-Rock Centre is located in the heart of Kingston's historic downtown and is the largest indoor entertainment venue in largest spectator facility between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. The K-Rock Centre hosts a variety of events including world-class concert acts and stage productions, Junior hockey, trade shows, job fairs, conferences and community events.

Invista Centre 

The Invista center is the city's premier recreational facility. There are four NHL-sized ice pads, six Meeting Rooms and
Fitness Area. This venue host a variety of events; junior hockey, trade shows, job fairs, conferences and community events.

Portsmouth Olympic Harbour

Built for the 1996 Olympics, Portsmouth Olympic Harbour continues to host several Canadian Olympic Training Regattas (CORK) every year and other community events. The facility features 300 slip finger docks that can accommodate both power and sail boats to a maximum length of 100 feet.

Queen's University Athletics & RecreationCentre (ARC)

The ARC is a state-of-the-art fitness facility within the Queen's Centre, with a wide variety of programs and activities. Opened in 2009 the Queens ARC features an main gymnasium, upper gymnasium with space for 3 recreational basketball courts, large cardio and fitness centre, dance studios, combat rooms, an indoor 25m pool as well as squash courts.

 

 

 

 

Queen's University Richardson Stadium & West Campus Fields

Richardson Stadium is located on Queen's University West Campus and
is the home of the Queen's Gaels varsity football, soccer, and lacrosse. Surrounding Richardson Stadium is three full-size grass fields (North, East and West Fields) as well as eight tennis courts.

Queen's University Tindall Field

The new face of athletics and recreation facilities began in the fall of 2008 with the opening of Tindall Field. A new full-size artificial multi-season playing field along with a three-lane rubberized jogging track. 

 

 

Royal Military College Athletic Facilities
The Royal Military College has a number of recently renovated
athletic facilities. These facilities include a spacious field house
with an indoor track, a gymnasium, squash courts, exterior tennis
courts, a pool, a hot tub and a sauna, climbing wall, an air-conditioned cardio room, large weight room, spinning room and martial arts room.

 

 

 

St. Lawrence College Athletic Facilities
St. Lawrence College Athletic Facilities, home of the SLC Vikings, include gymnasium, soccer field and student fitness centre.

Woodbine Park

Woodbine Park is truly a multipurpose sport and recreation park with five soccer fields, four baseball diamonds, a BMX
track and three volleyball courts. Other features include change rooms, concessions and playground.
